The Livingston Group has been serving clients in the Tri-State area since 1967.  Although we originally began as Junior Janitorial, a service company, we later added a janitorial supply house called Livingston Laboratories that began in 1969.  We were fortunate to team up with Spartan Chemicals in their infancy and have been a dealer since 1973. We are one of the few companies in our service area that has been successful at operating a supply house and a janitorial service company in the same facility.

In 2008, after 40+ years, managing partner Marvin Rushing and his partners decided it was time to sell the business to long time employee Rick Jones and his wife Jill.  Rick started with Livingston in 1996 and Jill in 2005.  Mr. Jones is the President and Mrs. Jones serves as Vice-President, Secretary-Treasurer.  Mr. Jones quickly began a marketing program to grow the business and has increased business dramatically.  Our company now employs over 100 full-time and part-time employees and has hundreds of service and supply clients all over the tri-state area.  The service company cleans over 500,000 square feet of healthcare, commercial, and industrial facilities per night.

In 2010, the management group decided to expand the company’s coverage area and market both companies under one name.  The company is now doing business as “The Livingston Group”.  

In addition to the janitorial supply and service business, we also provide water treatment chemicals, service, and equipment for boilers and cooling towers for many industrial facilities.  Our consulting and training capabilities allow our clients to have free access to information they may otherwise have to hire paid consultants to perform.
